Massage is not a luxury; it is a health advantage you deserve.

Doctors have started prescribing massage to help patients manage stress and pain. Scientists are now finding that massage can reduce blood pressure, boost the immune system, dampen harmful stress hormones, and raise mood-elevating brain chemicals such as serotonin.

Massage can also stimulate nerves that carry signals from the skin to the brain, triggering changes throughout the body. Your body strives to maintain optimum health by keeping all of its systems in balance. Along with proper nutrition, exercise, and rest, massage relaxes tense muscles and stimulates the body’s communications lines to help it do its job — and to keep you feeling your best.

Kristen Boehm, LMT

Kristen graduated from the East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison. She chose this school because she wanted to learn the best Eastern and Western modalities to offer a holistic healing to her clients. The rigorous coursework includes anatomy, kinesiology, ethics, acupressure, Thai and other Eastern massage, deep tissue and other Western massage, with extensive hands-on work.

I have always felt a need to help people and using my hands to help them comes naturally to me. I chose massage after seeing my rambunctious 9-year-old boy melt into a calm puddle of quietness after 10 minutes acupressure.  I knew at that point my new life path was before me. I specialize in Intuitive Integrated Therapeutic Massage. Each of my clients gets a massage tailored to their needs and for their needs that day.
